Ichiko's classmate. He works many part-time jobs in order to provide his four siblings, and is the caretaker in the absence of his parents who ran away to escape a mountain of debt.

Unknown to him Ichiko has started to develop feelings for him, though she tries very hard to deny it. Ranmaru has a crush on him.
