Heike Schroetter

Schroetter completed classical ballet training and attended the Rostock University of Music and Theatre from 1972 to 1975. She acted in several GDR television productions until she was imprisoned in 1981 for attempting to "illegally cross the border". Schroetter was ransomed and moved to West Germany, where she performed in theatres.
