Kristóf Steiner was very invested in poetry in his early days, which later in high school lead him to study in the drama departmen of Vörösmarty Mihály High School. It was around this time that he got his first film roles. After finishing high school, he applied to Academy of Drama and Film in Budapest, but he was rejected for being "too much." He spent his the next years performing in plays and later he became a TV host and started his own talkshow.
He came out as gay in 2004, and got married to Attias Matan - a doctor from israel - in 2011. It was the first gay marriage ever shown on hungarian television.
